Wonderful for brunch with delicious cookie trays to go Dawn, Stephanie, and all the crew are so wonderful and accomodating. Not only is the dine-in brunch experience an absolute treat, but they have wonderful desserts. For my birthday, we ordered the Dainty Tray, an assortment of fresh cookies and dessert bars, and they were kind enough to deliver it to me since I could not leave my house. Fantastic, every bite of it.

Convenient, Friendly, Yummy! This is a coffee shop/kitchen in the best Merida historic Centro neighborhood. We were staying right down the street and stopped in here for lunch. Great menu, lovely service. My husband, the deli guy, loved his corned beef sandwich. I had an amazing grilled cheese sandwich which came with a strawberry salad. Really, really, really delicious. Besides any kind of coffee or tea you could want, they have some other amazing drinks. I had the best watermelon juice!

Good breakfast and lunch In our first month in Merida, we have eaten at Marmalade on three occasions. It's located within a couple blocks on our residence. The food is consistently good and the service is impeccable. The restuarant only sits 12, but there is also take out. The desserts are made in the restaurant and are exceptional. The atmosphere is cosy, hip and very inviting. Spotlessly clean. I suggest you give it a try.

Chilaquiles weighing you down? Looking for a different take on breakfast? Or just great coffee? Look no further than Marmalade B This wee upscale eatery is well situated just off from the Paseo Montejo, on calle 47 at 56, a short walk from Centro. It boasts the delightful Chiapas coffee, and having tasted many coffees from around the world, this, for me, is simply the best. Complimentary refills add to the true value of this restaurant. The food is lovingly plated, and is a feast for the eyes as well as for the palate. For my first breakfast, I tried the bacon hash, which is presented in its own cast iron skillet, full of bacony, smokey goodness, punctuated with the odd dice of potato, and topped with the most perfectly sunny side up egg I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Garnished with perfectly ripe avocado slices, sided by thinly sliced bite sized morsels of pineapple and papaya, with lightly toasted baguette and jam, this breakfast was not too heavy, and had me in porcine heaven at the first luscious forkful. My second go around, I wanted something light. Natalie pointed me to the other side of the menu, and I opted for a homey slice of crusty bread topped with the most delicate whispers of sweet smoked salmon, accompanied by a few salty capers and slivers of robust red onion. A small dish of a honey mustard sauce was the perfect foil, adorned by the beautifully cut fruit. Washed down again with several cups of my favourite coffee. The day I left Merida, I decided to go all out and try the home made waffles, this one stuffed with ham and cheese. As someone who cannot fathom the appeal of chicken and waffles, I was unexpectedly surprised and delighted by this dish. The waffles were buttery and light, moist, with just enough ham and cheese to compliment, rather than over power the waffle. Topped with another perfectly fried egg, a pot of a lovely honeyed sauce, and again fresh fruit with several cups of Chiapas coffee, I was indeed well prepared for a long day of travel. I will certainly return when I next visit Merida, it was a true pleasure eating at Marmalade, made all the better by a most welcoming and friendly staff.
